Happy Canada Day! Although most of you are off due to the holiday, may you remember for a moment the freedom we have in our 'Oh Canada'!!

Something to Think About
- Please check out our blog!

The Message ~ Mike Shindruk
- 'Start to finish'
- Please read 'Got a Minute' in the bulletin
- Pastor Caroline's word to Mike some time ago: 'God started a great work through you, and He will complete it for you."
- Did you look for God this week? Did you find Him?
- Psalm 121:7, 8 NCV
- God has you in His hand; NOT caged/trapped in His hand. Picture that...
- He will protect you and guard you
- Mike spoke appreciation over many people: Peter, Pastor Caroline, Ardith (his wife), Doug, Chris (his son), Dr. Barclay, MHM singers, John & Roxann, etc
- Sometimes don't you think 'God, what were you thinking?!'... which changes to 'God, weren't you thinking!'
- He never intends to start something and then leave you.
- He has started something great through you.
- Have you asked 'when will you start something in me?'
- Matthew 7:7 (ask, seek, find, knock)
- 1 John 5:14 (boldness in God's presence)
- We need not be measured up to anyone else (Peter spoke a bit on this last week)
- Some great words:
    - Go fast, slowly
    - Never get too busy making a living that you don't make time to live
    - Satan knows your name, but called you by your sin... God knows you sin, but calls you by your name
    - Don't give it any real estate in your head
    - The Supreme Court can do many things, but it can't put Jesus back in the grave

Pastor Caroline ended by saying... 'Be available and He'll fill you with the ability'

** Please note that Mike's release and signing for his book 'Frog Legs and Photographs' will be on Saturday, July 11th from 1-4 at the Angus Chapel.

Have a great week!! :)

Something to Think About

- Proverbs 3:6
- What happens when you don't acknowledge God?
- Even if you do, it's still hard sometimes to know here you're going.
- Ex: Job. He couldn't understand why everything was happening the way they were. He lost everything... but gained it all back. PLUS more!
- Ex: Joseph. He was sold by his brothers. He was in prison
- Ex: Moses. Hard to see God leading your path when your parents put you in a basket and put you in a river
- Was God directing their paths? Sometimes it truly is hard to see.
- Numbers 20
- Only through the grace of Christ we are NOT punished for the lack of following of Christ..

Message ~ Pastor Dave

- HIS FULLNESS
- Are you glad you don't have the 10 Commandments??
- We are given just 2: Love the Lord your God with all your heart; and love others as yourself.
- Funny how these two 'commandments' works along side with the 10 c
- If you love God you will not want to hurt His heart by dishonoring your parents, cheating, etc
- Denominational doctrines set you up for failure; as we all fail.
- Christian A - they read the word but don't believe in the power of Christ through the power of Christ. (power of healing)
- Christian B - 'Spirit Christian'. Love the spiritual part of Christ (ex: special speaker). But we need to get the Word in us so we don't have to thrive on others. Speakers are used to 'confirm' what you already know.
- John 15:7. Sending another comforter... hence, I'm going to take care of you.
- Christian C- Christians that are faith filled.
- The evidence of God filling, is a filling of LOVE
- Luke 4:18
- Through it all, we are victorious in Christ!
- He wants to bless you beyond blessings
- When we start to praise him with our words and lives he will 'break the chains'... like Paul and Silas in prison
- Praise does NOT please the devil.
- We need to mix the Word of God and faith ( there will be healing, demons will flea, etc)
- You may have said 'I don't really care for church., well God loves you so care for Him!
- When we're filled with the Spirit, we're equipt for battle... the Sword, the Word of God.
- The devil will try to manipulate your thinking to get your thinking away from Christ!
- Ex: breastplate. That's how people can say/do things to you and you can live and they can love them back... You're heart is protected. - Your fight is in the Spirit, not against people; we are to love people!
- Why haven't Jesus done miracles before he was baptized... He needed the Holy Spirit to do Christ's work ;)
- We then too need the Holy Spirit to do Christ's work...

Pastor Caroline closed with reminding us to ask men out to our Father's Day service next week.

Have a beautiful week.. and call your dad/father/grand father this Father's Day weekend :)

Sunday May 31, 2015

Here are some note's from Sunday's service.  (Thanks, Heather)

Hi all. Good night here to be a duck! :)

Here's a quick summary of Sunday night.

Something to Think About
- 30% of people have a religious belief
- 27% are atheist
- 43% are unknown
- Problem... Christian population is not showing their beliefs.
- Christianity is the only religion that has documented evidence of a Christ (Bible).
- Why do some have NO religious belief?
- Why so lacksadaisy?
- 1. Church doesn't really promote the power of Jesus Christ. Church is becoming more of a Social event. There's more concern for rules and regulations.
- 2. Some believe you have to accept Jesus Christ once OR brought beliefs/title is brought down through generations. (My parents were Catholic, therefore I am Catholic).
- 3. The whole Bible isn't being preached (ex: Revelation)
- Why are people leaving Christ?
- 2 Thessalonians 2:3
- Haggai 2:11+ ... Every man has 'religion' for himself.
- Amos 5
- We have shown throughout the years that we don't and haven't served God.
- ... we need to not just 'accept' Christ... but to 'seek' Him and his salvation.

Message ~ Pastor Caroline
- GRADUATION
- Proverbs 3:5+
- TRUST... in the LORD... with ALL your HEART!
- Remember God in everything you do
- Through growing up/school/university, we are preparing ourselves for years to come.
- God still have things for you to learn even after University
- We are all on a path of learning: marriage, giving birth, raising a family, looking after elderly
- We can use our own experiences to help others through hard times.
- In life we have a choice
- Life is short. Live as if tomorrow will never come... til we graduate from life here on earth to life with Christ.
- We're always learning here on earth.
- After receiving Christ we learn courses in love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.(Fruit of the Spirit)
- Colossians 3:12-17
- We graduate to a place where there is fullness of joy
- We graduate to a level that you can better handle life's events
- God is the greatest teacher... the Bible the greatest manual
- If we choose to NOT stay in school, we will barely get by, life would be a struggle (work, money)
- Being Christians (Christ-like), we need to continue to study God's Word.
- Our choices today determine our days of tomorrow
- Look up to God; he's looking down on you!
- Psalm 23:6... ' Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.'
- Isaiah 26:23 (perfect peace)
- Isaiah 48:17
- Proverbs 16:3
- Psalm 37:5, 6... 'Open up before God, keep nothing back; he'll do whatever needs to be done: He'll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon.
- 1 Corinthians 2:9
- Trust, believe and look for Him for direction, accepting who you are in Him
- Believe His words for your life... then you'll be successful!
- God sees your whole life. The important thing is that you say 'take my hand, I want to be a student'
- He's the God of 'possible'... and ALL things are possible.

One of the songs sang at the beginning of the night, I really wanted to share, and 'God-lead' fitted right with the sermon!

Have a great week! And be reminded that we are ALL on a journey!!! :)

Some notes from Sunday's service. (Thanks, Jean)

Dr. Spencer Barclay- Something to Think About

There is more to existence than what we can see. Many people will not believe unless they experience with their 5 senses. There are many realities that exist today because people thought outside the box. Examples such as cell phones and communicating with people over the internet  and television and life saving medical technology and developments. These types of beneficial innovations could have hardly have been imagined two hundred years ago.

In Revelation chapter 19 John saw the throne room of God. In Revelation Chapter  21 we read of walls of Jasper and a city of  pure Gold and in Revelation Chapter 22 we read of a river clear as Crystal. To the secular and unbelieving world this would seem like Science Fiction.  Yet John fully believed.

But as it is written,  Eye hath  no seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

This verse noted above talks about Heaven, but also holds true about Hell, for those who refuse Christ.

The book of Revelation clearly tells us there is a Heaven and a Hell. If we think outside the box, beyond this earthly world, we will understand and appreciate John's warning. Therefore with our belief in salvation  through Christ's death on the cross and  commitment to live for Christ and a life of Godly actions. We can steer clear from Hell and be assured that Heaven is our eternal home.

Natalie Mac Donald- Speaker of the Night

Many fairy tales have a hidden message and meaning an example would be stories such as Little Red Riding Hood.

Stories written during the time of the Black Plague were used to teach children and adults about cleanliness. Fairy tales teach us about compassion and how not to be gullible. Many reoccurring themes that often appear in fairy  tales are such as a damsel in distress always gets the prince. There are stories such as Peter Pan who wanted to stay young forever, yet we know that growing up is not so bad and is actually a good thing.

Many people who have not experienced salvation through Christ, may think of Christianity as a fairy tale and not appreciate it's true eternal message. Jesus spoke in parables teaching a truth in a story. This was a clear way for the common people to comprehend and understand what he was saying.

John 14:15-31 The Holy Spirit came not as a physical being, but as a spiritual being. This holds true today when the Holy Spirit is involved in your life you will be a better Christian witness. Examples of this is being a better employee in the work place and being a better friend to others.

In our daily lives we will experience real villains who hurt us and real heroes who help us. As Christians we will go through hard times, we will have to pray and fight for our marriages and children's salvation. However the Holy Spirit is always with us and Jesus promised to never leave or forsake us.

Revelation 17:14  As Christians we know how the story ends, Jesus Christ the Lamb wins. He wins in splendid triumph for all eternity.

On this earth when we will go through hard times, we can rest assured that for the committed Christian there is a happy ending-Eternity in Heaven.

Some notes from Sunday's service.  (Thanks, Heather)

Hello there!

I first want to remind you that you can have videos of the service on https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrUaNS-N8LPEpsbWiJDYloQ.

Sometimes I as being ministered to and forget 'oh yah, I'm supposed to be taking notes'   haha

Something to Think About

- Boston Marathon bombers...

- What is fair??

- Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

- Is it fair that man is going to die because of sin?

- Is it fair that Christ died? That 'death' was the answer?!

- Ephesians 4:7 tells us "But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift."

- Is it fair that God is not passing judgement OR is it fair for Him because we are not listening/obeying?!

The Message ~ Stacey Dlamini

- John 4 - Story of the Samaritan woman at the well.

- 'When you hit a woman, you hit a rock.'  We are powerful creatures!

- If men have extra money they blow it in bars; if women have extra money, they spend in on their kids and family.

- Like the Samaritan woman, God is NOT intimidated by our hot messed lives!!

- He doesn't reach down from on high into our situation... He gets right down in the 'dirty' with us, like the woman caught in adultery

- God offers an alternative.

- The woman at the well, she was the King Pin! Jesus got to that city through this lady, through her testimony.

- Satan knows if she/you got on your feet, that his lies have no affect on you anymore, that you'll be unstoppable!!

- When needs are not attended to, people become desperate.

- Are you living below your privilege?! Don't you know your value?!

- She knew OF God, what the Bible said... but was not affected to change.

- She had to stop being 'religious' and trust the man next to her!

- Sometimes we can be 'religiously poisoned'.

- When you are dissatisfied, you run through people. But people can never satisfy!

- Have you ever thought to ask God to fill up that empty space??

- Maybe you don't think he'll take all the hot mess of your life??

- Jobs, relationships, etc pacify... they don't satisfy!!

- HE ALONE SATISFIES!!

FILL ME UP LORD (finished with)

1

Like the woman at the well, I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy.
And then I heard my Savior speaking -
“Draw from My well that never shall run dry.”

  Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up Lord;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.
Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.
2

There are millions in this world who are seeking
For pleasures earthly goods afford.
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.
3

So my brother if the things that this world gives you
Leave hungers that won’t pass away,
My blessed Lord will come and save you
If you kneel to Him and humbly pray -

Be a blessing this week! When you're being a blessing, you are teaching others to be one too!

Cheers
Heather
