Sunday July 26, 2015

Some notes from Sunday's service.  (Thanks, Heather)

OH MY... what's that bright ball in the sky?! haha  It's so nice to see the sun here in Nova Scotia. Hope you see the SON around you today!

Re-cap of Sunday past...

Something to Think About
- Social media... easy way to pass judgement.
- We need to look at evidence and not judge too quickly
- Matt 7:1-2.  Decisions are judgements (per se), but not what this scripture is talking about. Opinions are based on personal experiences and understanding, still not what this scripture is talking about.
- You don't always have all the facts why someone does something!
- Men and women in the Bible days did things that God was not blessed with; HOWEVER, God honored their lives later in life (some of them)
- In spite of their actions, decisions, and problems they still believed in God!!
- We are all guilty of crimes and sins, which should cost us everything.
- We are all sinners, therefore we are no more guilty than anyone else; we are no more innocent then anyone else.
- We all pass judgement but we may be surprised when we get to heaven as to who will be there!!
- The man on the street may have a bigger heart for Christ than the one in the church pew...
- Something to think about.

We had a special guest in church. Brayden, a local 10 year old, had been raising money for kids with cleft lips. He has raised $240 which is the cost of helping one child. What a big heart this little guy has. I've attached the link to his story. Please take a look :) Brayden left service with a cheque of $480 from Master's Hand Ministry. God has certainly blessed our church to be a blessing... here, blessing 2 more children with this surgery!! Did I saw '2'?! Make sure to read the story below!

- Like GPS, we are relying on God's power to direct us
- How important is the Bible??
- It provides solutions from A-Z
- Do you need salvation to enter heaven?  John 3:1-17
- Psalm 25:25
- Psalm 50:23
- Jesus is the bread of life... sustaining you every day
- John 6:25-29
- He holds nothing back, and we shouldn't either
- Ephesians 2:8-9 (saved by Faith)... GPS!
- Acts 4:12
- There's only one name... Jesus!
- 2 Corinthians 5:17
- 1 John 2:1,2
- John 1:12,13
- John 14
- John 6:47
- Jesus came to provide salvation, to pay our debt. All we need to do is accept Him
- Have you accepted Jesus into your heart?

- He's waiting for you!
- Now is the time...
