Dr. Barclay
Theme: Prayer
Prayer does not always have to be audible or in tongues or in a church. Truly, all prayer is simply talking with God, communication with the Lord from our heart.
Prayer
Who - Everyone
When - All the time
Where – Everywhere
Everybody should pray. We should and need to pray all the time, everywhere we may be.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Jesus showed us the greatest example of how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13
Our Father - Addressing the person we are praying to.
Hallowed be thy name – Praising and worshiping the one we are praying to.
We must be sincere and humble and have faith when we pray.
There are different ways people pray, it can be in public or in private, loudly or silently, some prayers are long, some are short and some are repetitious. However all that matters is that our prayers are sincere and from the heart. Any way we pray is O.K. as long as we are sincere about what we say.
