===The Armour of God===

Ephesians 6:10-20

Each Sunday when we step out of the church doors we face the world and all the tricks of the devil. We need the armour of God throughout each day more than ever before. When the world judges us we are not to worry about it or give it a thought. God is our judge and he is the only one we need to look up to and answer to. When we loose jobs, businesses, loved ones etc. we need to keep pressing on with God. He is who we are living for and will eventually spend eternity with. We need to pray for those who judge us in the workplace and even in our own families, God knows their hearts and just what it will take to change them. We are to tighten our belts of truth with right living on our chest and constantly studying the word of God which will equip us with the truth. Attacks from the world will always come. Therefore there is always an everyday need for the shield of faith and helmet of salvation. Remember it is never selfish to pray for ourselves, God simply wants us to come and ask him like the loving father that he is.

Builder or Wrecker

Builder or Wrecker

I watched them tearing a building down,
A gang of men in a busy town.
With a ho-heave-ho and lusty yell,
They swung a beam and a sidewall fell.

I asked the foreman, “Are these men skilled,
As the men you’d hire if you had to build?”
He gave me a laugh and said, “No indeed!
Just common labor is all I need.
I can easily wreck in a day or two
What builders have taken a year to do.”

And I tho’t to myself as I went my way,
Which of these two roles have I tried to play?
Am I a builder who works with care,
Measuring life by the rule and square?
Am I shaping my deeds by a well-made plan,
Patiently doing the best I can?
Or am I a wrecker who walks the town,
Content with the labor of tearing down?

Dr. Barclay: - Something to Think About

We are not to expect life to be fair, but we can count on God to be faithful.

What is Justice?

People often think that the bible and God are just not fair.

People often ask why should there be only one way to eternal life. In today’s pluralistic way of thinking people want to hope and believe that all ideologies and religions will eventually lead to one place. Yet for the Christian we clearly know this is simply not the case.

The bible is very clear, the wages of sin is death and eternal life is only through Christ Jesus.(Romans 6:23)

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezekiel 18:20)

Our soul lives beyond death of the physical body.

Matthew 10: 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

We cannot fully comprehend the God of the universe, our human minds can only know so much.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

The word of God tells us to choose life.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, thatI have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

We need to trust in God’s faithfulness, he is a righteous judge. Even when we do not understand why things are the way they are, God will make things right according to his will and perfect plan.

Stacy Diamini: When we are bold and work for the Lord we can trust he will provide.

1 Kings 17:19 

Being bold does not mean we use only words. We must be bold for God in both words and actions.

When we are bold as Christians we are confident in God and have no fear. Elijah told Ahab there would be no rain in the land until Elijah said so. Elijah was bold when he spoke to Ahab, even when his very life was on the line. (1Kings 17:1)

Elijah continued on in God’s work and God provided for him, sustenance Raven’s bringing him bread and flesh and fresh water from a brook. (1 Kings 17:6-7)

After Elijah was on the run, since Jezebel had set about to have him killed, the Lord provided again, cake baked on coals and fresh water to drink. (1 Kings 19:6-8)

Elijah took refuge in a cave and felt all alone and discouraged, and wonderfully in a miraculous way the Lord made his presence known in a still small voice. (1 Kings 19:12)

Elijah was faithful in fulfilling his mission from God and God provided for him in a supernatural way.

Stacy testified how God had met the needs at the Roots for Youth Shelter through fervent prayer and hard work. Young people are provided with safe shelter and encouraged to continue on in school and on the road to success; thanks to Stacy and her employees and volunteers continued faithfulness, time and hard work, God heard their petitions of prayer and met the financial need.

New Year's Message from Pastor Caroline

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you,

I believe and declare that 2018 will be a good year for each one of us. How can I say this with confidence? The word of God says, in Psalms chapter 23 verse 1, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need." (GNB).  I believe the word of God and I know He will take good care of me and you. 

The Bible also says in Deuteronomy, chapter 31 verse 6b (NIV) "The Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you or forsake you."  What a beautiful promise from Father God and I claim this for my life and I claim it for all of you.  In the busy times of life I am reminded to "Be still, and know that I am God."  Psalms chapter 46 verse 10a (ESV). 

As I look around in our world today I know God is with us when I read, "Fear not, O Land; be glad and rejoice, For the Lord has done great things!" Joel 2.21(ESV)  I see His hand moving daily in all our lives and for that I am thankful.  In Roman's chapter 8 verse 39 we read, "Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  God will be with us at all times if we invite Him into our heart as Lord and Saviour. I pray this year for all of us who have accepted Jesus that we will continue our journey with the Lord, letting Him show us daily the plan He has for our lives. 

For those of you who have yet to accept Him into your heart, He stands at the door of your heart, knocking, waiting for you to say, "Come in."  When you do you will never be the same again. God loves you!

Christmas Eve Service

Good Morning Friends!! 

As the 'Church' family of Masters' Hand Ministry - we've been gathering at the HW Angus Funeral Chapel on 256 King St in New Glasgow, every Sunday night for almost seven years!! 
We are non-denominational (ie: Christian) and warmly welcome everyone that chooses to join us!! 

We encourage all to attend their home church of course but if you don't have one - PLEASE KNOW that our invitation is extended every day and we'd especially like to invite you to join us TONIGHT at 7pm for Christmas Eve! 

We'll be having a short service of traditional and contemporary worship, a Christmas message and a special story and gift for the children!! Just a wonderful time to gather together and celebrate the birthday of Jesus!! We sincerely hope you consider our invitation ....❤❤
