Sunday Night ServicNotes

Dr. Spencer Barclay-Something to Think About
Theme: Power In The Blood

We cannot take communion unworthily. We must be sincere with God and have a clean heart. In the various religions of the world people continuously sacrifice something to appease their gods. Christianity is the only religion where the sacrifice has been made for us once and for all. The blood of Jesus has the power to redeem us and secure our salvation forevermore. There is no other way to take care of our sin problem and it’s penalty except through the blood of Jesus and accepting him as Lord.
Hebrews 9:22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Pastor Caroline – Message entitled “However”

We cannot be everything to everyone all the time. God wants us to focus on one job at a time. If we are worn out and burnt out we cannot serve God effectively. Everyone in the body of Christ is called to do their own unique job. We must all work together happily serving Christ, together in unity. God wants us to be content and understand we cannot do everything own our own.
Pastor Caroline is infectious about loving Jesus and wants to tell everyone about him.She will continue to do her pastoral duties wholeheartedly, however she is happy to share many jobs with the congregation.
Sometimes God wants us to slow down and not be so busy in ministry, to focus on matters close at hand, like our family.
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
God wants us to rest in him and focus on his goodness. God will put everything into place and work things out according to his will, he wants us to be at rest and not stressed. We cannot take on too much and be in the way of others being a blessing. The Holy Spirit is the one that fills the church and not an individual human and God is to receive all the glory never ourselves.
