Pastor Caroline - April 3, 2020

I love this reading today in David Jeremiah‘s book, “Daily In His Presence”. I would like everyone to read this over and over and truly appreciate the wisdom in this reading.

Let’s look at the title,
“ The Leaders We Need”
Today, during COVID-19 we need strong, powerful, righteous leaders from the top of our government to the leaders of our own local town council. Let’s take time every day to pray for all the leaders here in Canada and all over the world. I keep seeing the statement, “we are all in this together” so “let’s all pray together to stay strong and safe as we follow  the advice from our leaders”.

“Dear Lord, give us leaders who have true wisdom”, is the prayer in our reading today and everyone can take “one moment” to say this prayer. Let’s all do our part.

Proverbs Chapter 28 verse 7 reads in The Amplified Study Bible this way,
7 a-“He who keeps the law (of God and man) is a wise and discerning son“
When we keep God’s laws and the laws of our land we are doing with the Lord wants for all His  people. So let’s all be wise and discerning men and women.

The last five lines of our reading today are very important. Let me write them here to remind you what was written.

As citizens we must do our best by voting, praying, paying our taxes and speaking up. But we must also model personal holiness and godly maturity, for the true hope of our world isn’t found in its politics but in the power of God’s people to be salt and light in the world.

Well said David Jeremiah and the only thing I could add would be “Amen”.

Have a wonderful day in Jesus!
